Notes of Interest

Sent to The SEAL Foundation/ Museum by Redman on his great mate Lenno and the 43 rd anniversary of those warriors lost in the Philippines.

Hello from Down Under. It is my sad Duty to advise of The Passing of A Legendary, Australian SAS Soldier. Len Smith, served in Vietnam & performed admirably when attached to SEAL, Mekong Delta, 1971. He was the selected exchange Australian SAS Soldier, who served with SEAL, in San Diego & elsewhere, 1981-1982. He dived with you, in the North China Sea.

Our friend & compatriot was the first SAS Soldier to be appointed as the Counter-Terrorism Assault Team Commander. He was the natural selection. Here's hoping that those of those eras, are able to be informed of WO2/Capt Len Smith's passing. He is an Australian SAS an aside - I note the position of Malin Burnham on your board. Please pass to him All Best Wishes from Dennis Conner's "Security Consultant." Regards to All Who Carry The Torch.

P.S. Also, the recently past 26 FEB 24 is the terrible, 43rd anniversary of the 26 Feb 81 loss of 23 SF Members - SEAL, NZ SAS, Australian SAS & SF Aircrew, lost Philippines. LEST WE FORGET.
