Gordon Holland was born in South Australia on 23 September 1958. He enlisted in the Army on 19 June 1979 and was allocated to the Royal Australian Infantry but transferred to the Royal Australian Corps of Transport on 20 August 1986. He was posted to SASR on 2 April 1991. Gordon came from 1 Watercraft Workshops with the rank of Corporal. Gordon died of natural causes on 21 May 1993 while undertaking fitness training at Swanbourne Western Australia. Gordon’s next-of-kin at the time of his death was his wife.
