ETERNAL WANDERERS

Jack passed away in the early morning of 10 June 2025 after a long fight. The SASR community have lost a real character who would always meet you you with a smile and happy greeting. He is now at the RV with his rascal dog - Trooper, another character of the Regiment.

JJ passed away on 2 June 2025.

Adam passed away on 26 May 2025

Brian passed away on 20 May 2025. He served in the RAN from 1951, then ARA from 1954, 1 SAS Coy from 1957 -1958. He was a long term member of the Victorian Branch and served for many years on the committee.

Jeff passed away on the 16 May 2025 peacefully at SCGH after suffering a stroke at home. He served in 1 SAS Coy from 1961 and then SASR from 4 September 1964 when the Regiment was formed.

Shorty died on 12 April 2025. He was an original 1SAS Company member and went on to serve with SASR and the AATTV.

GD passed away on 8 April 2025

Reg passed away on 2 April 2025. Apart from his service in SASR, he was the inaugural RSM of NORFORCE.

Bill passed away on 29 March 2025.

Steve passed away on 22 March 2025. He was the last surviving member of a four-man reconnaissance patrol in Borneo during which LCPL Paul Denehey was gored by a rogue elephant in 1965.
Steve was awarded the Commendation For Gallantry on 31 May 2019.
