Ben Roberts-Smith Bail


The SAS Association acknowledges the decision of the Court to grant bail in this matter. Bail decisions are procedural in nature and do not determine guilt or innocence. The Association respects the independence of the Court and the integrity of Australia’s criminal justice system.


As this matter proceeds, it is essential that all parties allow the legal process to continue without speculation or commentary that could prejudice a fair trial. Our focus remains on the wellbeing of our members and their families, many of whom are affected by the public scrutiny surrounding these proceedings.


We will continue to provide appropriate support while maintaining respect for the rule of law. The Association will not comment further on the substance of the case while it is before the courts.
